You must have previous experience of working in a school as an administrator to apply for this role.
Job Title: Sixth Form Administrator
Responsible to: Head of Sixth Form & Vice Principal
Working Pattern: 37.5 Hours per Week (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm)
Term Time only (39 weeks + 1 week non term time per academic year)
Salary Range: 21 – 25
Provide administrative support to the Sixth Form team and members of the Senior Leadership Team, undertaking a range of administrative tasks associated with the Sixth Form.
Monitor attendance and punctuality of Sixth Form students using the school systems and liaise with parents, students and the Sixth Form Team.
Be responsible for the supervision of the Sixth Form students during their independent study time.
Promote the highest standards of conduct and behaviour by implementing the school’s behaviour systems.
Support with the recruitment for the Sixth Form.
Build excellent professional relationships with Sixth Form students, parents and other professionals in the school.
Provide a pastoral role to students and raise concerns with teachers in accordance with school policies.
Develop and maintain active Alumni.
Be the first port of call for all Sixth Form interventions and all calendared events and, provide appropriate administrative support.
Assist in the promotion of and attend Open Evenings and other school events when required.
Support students with changing courses.
Support with trips and visits.
Maintain up to date and positive information on the school website and other social media sites.
Prepare and maintain the filing systems and records of Sixth Form students, including their subjects, registers /attendance and UCAS forms etc.
Lead on the administration involved for recruitment to the Sixth Form, Open Evenings, interviews, references, acceptance letters etc.
Lead on the administration of the Sixth Form Bursary.
Lead on the administration involved for parent evenings, and other Sixth Form events and activities.
Collect information and prepare the Sixth Form page for the Parent Newsletter.
Arrange presentations, hospitality and rooms in advance of meetings.
Maintain notice boards by displaying relevant information, for the Sixth Form.
Support with the successful running of the Sixth Form Study Space, including book loans.
Take minutes of meetings.
Distribute internal mail and outgoing mail.
Liaise with the Administrator whom is responsible for reprographics & reception cover, on all reprographics requests.
Order and check stationary stock.
Carry out duties and responsibilities commensurate with the post necessary for the smooth running of the Academy as required by the Sixth Form department, Vice Principal or the Senior Leadership Team.
